Modern art is the creative world's response to the rationalist practices and perspectives of the new lives and ideas provided by the technological advances of the industrial age that caused contemporary society to manifest itself in new ways compared to the past. Artists worked to represent their experience of the newness of modern life in appropriately innovative ways. Although modern art as a term applies to a vast number of artistic genres spanning more than a century, aesthetically speaking, modern art is characterized by the artist's intent to portray a subject as it exists in the world, according to his or her unique perspective and is typified by a rejection of accepted or traditional styles and values.

Jemal Hayes was born in Vero Beach FL. He attended VBHS, then IRSC for graphic design. As a child he would receive post cards and letters from his dad, who spent much of his childhood in prison. The cards would have these amazing colorful artworks. He was in awe and he would draw and sketch on the letters that he sent back to him. During high school, poetry and drawing became Jemal’s first venture into Entrepreneurship. He wrote poetry and sketched drawings for guys to give to their girlfriends.
PAINT PARTY
Here at Painting with J Thee Creative, we love to host private parties! Bachelorette parties, birthday parties, bridal showers, corporate events, holiday celebrations, kids' parties, and more! To book your party, just call the studio at 772-245-0882 We require a minimum of either 5 or 10 painters depending on the day. Parties must be booked at least three weeks ahead of time, and require a $50 to $90 depending on the class deposit to secure the date. Payment for 10 spots will be required 7 days prior to your event.
Your ticket price covers the canvas, paint, use of all supplies, and instruction by your Creative Host. No food or beverages are included. Food and drinks can be purchased at your event: Our events take place in local bars and restaurants with fully stocked bars, so make sure you bring your ID.
How long is an event? Paint Nite events are typically around 1 1/2 hours with Paint Nite events lasting closer to 2 hours, but the memories from both events last a lot longer! That time includes checking in, tips, tricks and instructions from your instructor, and a 15-20 minute break in the middle of the event
